I was about to bring my frozen ass to be pwned for old time's sake, but whenever I try to launch the game, Windows is moaning about failed memory allocations..I see this is related to some Windows hotfix, but how to get over this?

What windows are u using? I bet its a x64 bit system right? I had this problem too, but somehow i was beable to select 'launch anyway'.
Maybe Windows XP Comptability with the halo shortcut works?
This problem should be fixed in v1.09 thought, but it wasnt for me either, same as te text problem (no (chat/killed)text ingame sometimes)

Haven't had chance to play for so long. If you guys are still around, I might try and boot it up sometime...
Had my first game of MW2 (PS3) Friday. Level 1 vs a room of level 60-odds. Somehow, I won the first game. And then the second. Which promoted me to level 5 in one go. After which, expectations were matched, and I have been variously stabbed, sniped, patriot missile-d, chopper-gunned, and nuked into seven shades of oblivion. Enjoyed it, though I'm never going to have the time to get any good at it.
And the f**king controller! Please god give me a mouse x
