Banned by accident!

i am not register because i have modem and this site is also slow ;
i want to ask, if u can unban me, i think my name was Vir2L or CrYpTeK.
I asked nsfw if he can unban me , but he didnt saw my name on the list, so probably i was banned before with a other name :S

You were possibly banned for team killing? Maybe it was by accident as it normally is. I mean no one ever team kills on purpose do they!

You should sign up to here. You say it's too slow but you manage to get a good enough ping to play on our server so your IP speed is definitely up to spped to open a web site...

Think about why you got banned and givve us some more information.

he talked to me on xfire, when te site was very slow. I told him for not registering because it would take ages more to load.
He is banned because of autoban he says, its 1 day ago now and he is still banned. Now he is asking to be unbanned but i couldn't find his name on the banlist so probably he is banned before with another name.

He is on a 56k (or isdn?) so he couldnt download a dedicated server to retrieve his ck-key hash.

Hi Vir2L, I saw you in the server earlier this week.

Can't find you on the banlist under either of the names you give. It would help if you could say when you were banned (day and time), as well as any other names under which you've played. If you've previously been auto-banned for betrayals, any subsequent bans will list you under the name you first played under.

If you don't want to publically state your aliases, just send me a pm on the forums. Though I think you have to register for that....

There haven't been any admin bans for a few days, so I'm assuming it was an autoban for betrayals. If you don't think this is the case, let us know.

And sorry, this will be a hassle with 56k...

I found you on there as (Wh) F3ll - it was your third autoban, so the ban period was subsequently quite long. This time, I decided to remove you from the list, so you should be able to play again.

can we change the bantime (for autobans) maximum 24ours?
I think its a good idea to change the time to maximum 24 hours, so ppl stop complaining for unbans (because they just have to wait 24ours).

We can set the 10'th ban to longer for example

cant remember forsure tho i think the min time on default for autoban for first off. was 24 hours lol

I kind of like the ramping up of the ban times for autoban... it encourages people to learn the lesson. It helps keep the noobs away. There's only been a couple instances in the last months when I've unbanned on these grounds - and both occasions were known players whose first bans happened months/years ago.

The first ban is 5min, than a few hours, than 24hours and than forever.

Making them 5 min, 4 hours and all the other betraials 24 hours sounds good to me.
Even if you betray cause you are just a noob, you wont like a 24 hours ban on such a good server. and noobs that only betray mostly only play the game once a year.

@order, disable your parental lock on mcafee, but hey, actually you shouldn't because you are not allowed to watch
